Bikechatter Clothing and Equipment Product of the Year Award winners 2010 Bikechatter Clothing and Equipment Product of the Year Award winners 2010 Bikechatter
Here are our ultimate products of the year for 2010, stand out products that we would rush out and buy, recommend incredibly highly or simply prefer to all the other items in its category, make no mistake this is a difficult award to give and careful consideration is given to each item nominated. Sometimes the winner nudges it out by the feeling it gives you, other times there is a clear reason for it... Here goes.

Clothing Product of the Year 2010

Shark RSR2 Carbon Helmet Product of the Year 2010Shark RSR2 Carbon Helmet

We Said:
Overall a stunningly leightweight helmet that is comfortable to wear as well as nice and quiet. Construction is typical of Shark in that the overall quality is superb with the vents and lining being high end.

Ventilation wise this did not seem to be as gusty as others I have tried but yet there was no fogging from the visor or head sweats, the paint finish on this helmet is also very good and you can see the thickness where it meets the carbon fibre section at the bottom - perhaps a couple of more flashy designs though?

Equipment Product of the Year 2010

R&G Racing Superbike cover Product of the Year 2010R&G Racing Superbike Outdoor Cover

We Said:
Cant really fault this cover, it stayed dry in all conditions and managed to not drag and smear groundwater up the bike when removing it.

It is really light and manageable which I think is where this trumps the competition, without needing the layers of padding and lining the R&G cover offers good quality at a reasonable price.

Bikechatter recommended!
