You cannot fail to be impressed by the PipeWerx GP3 or SL exhaust in terms of quality and value and for that very reason it has been given the same Best Buy award we gave the SL earlier in the year.

If you are in the market for a street legal can, with race sound, and baffle, without breaking the bank, PipeWerx should get your phonecall

Sound wise this thing is just a cut above, I am sure there are a lot of buyers out there looking for a can that will keep that roar at a decent level with a baffle in for Mr policeman and this would be the one. Without the baffle the SL becomes a rampant hooligan and I challenge anyone not to smile with that overrun crackle.

Styling gets a ten, simples... The laser cut detailing adds - well, detailing to what is otherwise usually a quite ordinary item. The other versions of this can look equally good and take a look at the carbon fibre model, then compare it to its industry peers for cost.

Ultimately this silencer wins a best buy for genuinely being a best buy, you get all the benefits of a high end product and none of the cost based downsides.

The sound is lovely, rich, crisp and deep at the same time and offers an incredible soundtrack to your ride, it is also quite a unique sound with both baffles removed and my wife can hear me arriving home from a distance away (good to get the gates opened)

Baffle wise though I really disliked the system used on this exhaust, I know that Blue Flame have had a bit of a redesign but as yet I have not seen if this includes the baffle system. Overall though this is a great exhaust and you would not be disappointed by having one on your machine.

However Scorpions claim that it is dyno tested to your model is questionable. I had to re drill the baffle to settle down the idle and get rid of a flat spot at low revs on my CB1300. The motif also fell off after a couple of weeks and I had to stick another one on.
If you are fitting with a power commander then you will prob be okay. But I would advise you to pay more and get an akropovic or sidewinder.
It is however better looking than thew stock can on my bike.

Removing the baffle is about as simple as you would ever need and just a small screw does the trick, only really the end result of a low speed drop spoils what would have been a good result and that seems to caused by a 3 stud (OEM) fitting that adds a stress area and bulk.
