More Vision and safer riding

Overall a really nice helmet when it is on your head but the styling is a bit marmite - you either love it, or you hate it. Personally I enjoy being able to hear when I get off the bike, listen to my tunes while riding and really enjoy taking in all that additional scenery.

In terms of weight I put it as medium-light, that being that it is a little bit lighter than average and due to the composite construction, certainly when I put this in comparison to my Arai the Shark wins hands down, the Arai while very sexy looking is a tad heavier overall and lifts at higher speeds.

The internal visor works well in practice, something that is not always the case when manufacturers seem to throw them in as a last minute addition, the Vision-R needs it though to reduce sun glare through the expansive visor so it had to work.

Warm, dry, cool and perfect for english weather

A lovely looking lightweight glove at a very reasonable price. Although there are some cheaper ladies gloves out there I can say from experience you usually get what you pay for with this type of glove. The level of comfort these give when riding is well worth the tiny amount of extra money and I would pay it happily.

The only slight concern I have with these gloves is that although they have some padded rubber protection on knuckles and finger tips I wonder how much actual impact protection they would give you in a crash situation compared to some other gloves currently on the market, but for my intended use they are fine.

These are classed as all season gloves and for warmer weather the ventilation is adequate as long as it is not HOT. perfect for most UK weather conditions though

Keep cool and look cool

Vented motorcycle clothing seems to be becoming more and more popular in this country, we aren't often fortunate enough to get lovely long summers, but when the heat really hits a ventilated suit allows you to really make the most of the best riding days without feeling uncomfortable and sticky.

If you decide to make a stop off the Stella T-Dyno Air Jacket allows your body to keep cool while also protecting from the cold which is a nice feat.

As you have probably read, I love how this jacket is styled - if only Alpinestars had included a liner in this jacket as well as or instead of the Stella Angel Air it would be up for an award.

Conclusion

This is a cracking helmet jam packed with features which unfortunately do make the helmet quite heavy if compared to others but on the whole its a well balanced comfortable lid which is breaking new ground in terms of innovation.

The ventilation system is slightly better than average but not quite as effective as I would have hoped for on a helmet so carefully thought out as this with little touches that I loved like the added sun visor.

The “Air Pump” system definately stops the helmet from moving when travelling at speed and adds to the feeling of safety and quality that this very well constructed helmet gives. One thing that is difficult to express and test on a short term review such as this is how the air pump system will come into its own when the cheek pads have given enough to make the helmet feel loose as they invariably do, being able to take up that slack and give a more personal fit could well be a godsend and may increase the lifespan of the helmet before replacement which is certainly worth consideration.

Conclusion

Quite a nice little budget lid that offers good value for money along with a relatively nice fit and finish, ventilation could be a bit better but it remains comfortable and pretty quiet too.

At 1.5kg's is is tipping the scales on the lardy side but that I guess is to be expected from a thermoplastic helmet so the old addage goes here - you get what you pay for!
