Dainese announces its sponsorship of English rider Leon Haslam for the 2011 season. Haslam, who is racing in the Superbike World Championship with the BMW Motorrad Motorsport Team, attended recent pre-season tests at Eastern Creek in Australia. Wearing his new Dainese suit, boots, gloves and protections - sponsorship neck-to-toe - aboard his BMW S1000RR. The ongoing £1m investment in Donington Park has received the initial nod from the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme). Circuit inspector Claude Danis visited the Leicestershire circuit recently and declared himself very happy with the way safety improvements are progressing. A further visit will take place at the end of this month in order to give the green light for the European round of the FIM World Superbike Championship, which will take place from 25-27 March.
