Stop and think before upgrading brake lines advise Venhill It has long been recognized that fitting braided lines can improve both the performance and reliability of a motorcycle’s braking system; the stainless steel braid that is wrapped around the core prevents further pressure expansion and helps protect the core against damage from stones, road debris or accident impact.
Good quality, reliable tools are a must for any motorcyclist, whether undertaking planned machine maintenance and servicing or making emergency roadside repairs. Venhill – British manufacturer of high performance hydraulic hoses and control cables – has introduced a range of motorcycle specific tools and kits, designed for a range of applications. With 40 years experience of manufacturing safety critical motorcycle braking and control systems, the team at Venhill used their knowledge to select the new range of practical and useful hand tools.

Venhill – specialists in brake lines for more than 40 years – have introduced a race style braided kit for the 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R aimed at riders looking to upgrade their existing set up. The new kit incorporates two braided lines, running directly from the master cylinder on the handlebars to each of the Kawasaki’s radially-mounted calipers, helping to evenly distribute pressure to each caliper and reduce overheating of fluid. This set-up also helps eliminate the need for complex cable layouts and ‘T pieces’, where pressure loss can occur.
