Knox Track Vest - L2 protection brought up to date

Written by
Protection based on the hugely popular Aegis, the new Track Vest Protection based on the hugely popular Aegis, the new Track Vest Knox

Combining the protection and flexibility of the Level 2-approved back protector, with the comfort and convenience of a vest, the new Track Vest from British impact protection specialists Knox is light, unobtrusive and as easy to put on/take off as a jacket. Constructed using a compression fit Dupont Meryl Lycra, there are pockets for optional chest protectors and the back protector can be unzipped so the vest may be washed. Ideal for sports and performance riders on track and on road, the Track Vest comes in sizes S-XXL, RRP: £149.99.

In depth:

The new Knox Track Vest is designed for the active rider across a range of disciplines who requires a high level of comfortable, totally unrestricted movement and a high level of protection.

Manufactured in the UK using Dupont Meryl Lycra, the Track Vest is stretchy, light and thin and sits snugly, even under tight racing suits, and close to the skin. which prevents creasing but still allows full articulation. It's also breathable and moisture-wicking, working with raised channels and vents in the back protector to help keep the wearer cool and prevent perspiration build-up.

Eight honeycomb sections with Inclined Cell Wall Technology and sliding spine means the back protector, based on the Knox Aegis, exceeds the standard required for EN1621-2 compliance – the highest safety rating possible under current EU testing regulations.

Beneath the soft foam padding on the chest are pockets designed to carry optional CE-approved chest protectors should the wearer require them.

Flex channels allow the spine section to articulate freely and ensure the protector sits perfectly around the contours of the back. This offers superb freedom of movement and ensures protection is maintained in all positions.

The multi-position waist strap ensures a snug and secure fit, without restricting movement, and helps prevent the protector ‘riding up’ during use. Unlike any other garment of this type, the vest can be zipped off the back protector and machine-washed, keeping it fresh and clean throughout the rising season.
