D-Air Street Gore-Tex Jacket - part of the 2012 collection D-Air Street Gore-Tex Jacket - part of the 2012 collection Dainese

Announced a short while ago the new 2012 range from Dainese should be available now on shelves, should you be attracted to the brand and styling you will find a host of technical and stylish products with the obvious highlight being the D-Air Street airbag system. Prices are not as outlandish as some we have seen but still on the high side so if you are into your gadgets, must have the latest kit or a fan of Dainese get yourself down to a stockist.

D-air Street:

Designed specifically for public road use, the D-air Street is an airbag system fitted in a jacket or an outer waistcoat. D-air Street has an electronic device fitted to the motorcycle, which sends a signal to the airbag when a potential hazard is detected. The device detects a head on collision with a 45-degree angle impact or a slide. Once triggered the device releases a signal and the airbags are deployed within milliseconds protecting the rider.

D-air Street is available as an outer waistcoat or as a gore-tex and textile jacket. As well as the airbag system the jackets both feature a fitted back protector, removable shoulder and elbow protection. Standard features also include removable thermal liners, outside pockets and adjustable waistbands.

Prices for D-air Street are as follows:
MKit (motorcycle equipment) £389.99 - sold separately to clothing garments

D-air Street outer Waistcoat priced at £639.99
D-air Street Tex priced at £849.99
D-air Street Gore-Tex priced at £1,309.99.

Aspide P:

A brand new suit, the Aspide one piece is made from cowhide leather and S1 fabric. For maximum comfort and fit, the suit is fitted with patented 2Skin fabric inserts giving greater movement whilst still ensuring the perfect fit. As with all Dainese racing suits, safety is covered with composite certified protectors and co-injected aluminium shoulder inserts.

The Aspide suit is available in a variety of colours and priced at £849.99.

Avro Pelle:

The stylish Avro Pelle also has a suit with the same design, which was first introduced for 2011. The jacket features pockets for a G1/2 back protector, Thorax chest protector, as well as composite protectors and co-injected aluminium shoulder inserts. Other features include a removable thermal liner, two outer pockets, jacket-trouser zip fastener and reflective inserts.

The Avro Pelle is available in black, black/white, black/white/blue and priced at £379.99.

P. D1 Kevlar:

The new collection welcomes a variety of casual riding jeans including the P. D1 Kevlar. A smart, casual look ideal for riding a bike and also wouldn’t look out of place around town. Made from Denim fabric with Kevlar yarn and internal Kevlar reinforcements, the jeans have Pro Shape soft certified protectors and six outer pockets.

D1 Kevlar jeans priced at £169.99.

Druids:

A cowhide leather sports glove, the Druids has a reinforced palm and microelasticated inserts for enhanced hand movement. For protection there’s carbon fibre inserts on the knuckles, back of hand and finger joints.

Avant Race Lady:

Specifically designed for a delicate female-foot is the Avant Race Lady race boot. A stylish but practical boot the Avant Race features thermoplastic polyurethane inserts on the shin and ankle. Comfort is catered for with elasticated bellows, closure is at the back of the boot and there’s a Velcro calf adjustment.

Knee Brace Pro:

Added to the extensive protection range the Italian brand is known for, is the Knee Brace Pro. Designed for off-road use, the brace gives support to the knee joint and the structure integrates impact protection with a metal plate and support shell.
