Tasty, and futuristic looking without being quite as 'alien' as the much lauded Handroid, the 2011 Biomech Tasty, and futuristic looking without being quite as 'alien' as the much lauded Handroid, the 2011 Biomech Knox
Re-engineered as part of Knox's ST3 programme of continuous innovation and development, Biomech gloves get improved aesthetic for 2011 along with additional ventilation. Part of the British-company's Hand Armour range, Biomech is made for sports and touring riders, combining high levels of protection in a package designed for day-long comfort. Manufactured from top quality drum-dyed (colour fast) aniline leather, ventilated panels have been added between the fingers to allow more air-flow.
The palm is made from kangaroo hide, supple and strong for flexibility and control, reinforced with Schoeller Keprotec for added protection and overlaid with a PU Grip Pad for improved grip.
Safety is assured, with impact absorbing honeycomb gel pads beneath the shell covering the knuckles and on the back of the hand, covering the metacarpal bones. Additional abrasion and cut resistant Superfabric® pads cushion the thumb and base of the little finger. On the palm the tried and tested patented Scaphoid Protection System is enhanced by an additional inner cuff slider which works to support the SPS sliding effect. Super strong and tear resistant Kangaroo leather covers the inside palm and fingers.
The unique Knox Boa Lacing system replaces the use of Velcro as a wrist closure system. It works to draw the supporting side pods over the wrist, secured with a multi adjustable closure. Easily tightened, just dial in the right amount of torque and to release simply pull the dial. The Biomech can be put on or removed in seconds with minimal effort for fuss free fuel stops and breaks on long journeys.
Available in updated black/white, red and blue colour options, in sizes XS-XXL, Biomech sells for £129.99 (including VAT).
