Öhlins Racing continues their long and prosperous relationship with Ducati by offering a specially developed fully adjustable shock absorber for the new revolutionary ‘Diavel’. To coincide with this new product, Öhlins Racing UK will be in attendance at the Ducati Days event at Silverstone and offering an awesome WSB prize to meet series leader, Ducati Althea’s Carlos Checa. The exciting new Ducati Diavel has turned the world of motorcycling on its head, delivering the performance of a superbike with the attitude and street presence of a cruiser.
Since its launch, the motorcycle press have heaped praise on this new concept from Ducati and now Öhlins has developed a replacement shock absorber that is certain to further enhance the Diavel’s already formidable reputation. This latest offering features external compression and rebound adjustors, plus a hose mounted hydraulic spring preload adjuster. Developed using Öhlins’ unrivalled experience in suspension gained through considerable MotoGP and World Superbike success, the new shock absorber priced at £856 +VAT contains all the quality and performance you would expect from an Öhlins product.

As well as adjustable spring preload via a hose mounted hydraulic preload adjuster, the shock absorber has an external reservoir with compression adjustor that locates on the Ducati’s subframe within easy reach, making fine tuning your suspension for the ultimate ride a simple turn away. Öhlins and Ducati have a long history of working together and this new shock absorber is another example of the two famous brands collaborating to enhance and showcase their products. Öhlins helped Ducati to their first World Superbike Championship in 1988 (Raymond Roche), then through the famous Carl Fogarty years and the brands are now synonymous with each other in racing at all levels.

To celebrate the launch of the new Diavel shock absorber, and to further demonstrate their firms’ co-operation, Öhlins is supporting Ducati UK at its upcoming ‘Ducati Days’ event at Silverstone as well as giving two lucky people the chance to win an exclusive prize that includes free entry to the WSB round at Silverstone and the chance to meet Althea Ducati rider Carlos Checa. Ducati Days takes place on May 21st and 22nd at Silverstone and includes a whole host of Ducati themed events such as technical talks, trade stands and track riding. Öhlins Racing UK official Centre BG Motorsport will be on hand to provide support to Ducati Coventry in assisting any riders with set-up questions and offer advice on how to get the most from their bike’s suspension.

Why not ask the Öhlins WSB technicians? Öhlins is running a unique competition giving two lucky people the chance to win a trip to the Silverstone WSB round, an exclusive tour of the Öhlins race support vehicle and the chance to meet Althea Ducati rider Carlos Checa. To enter simply go to Öhlins Racing UK’s Facebook page and comment on the wall post saying why it should be you and your friend who wins this exclusive competition. The winner will be drawn at random from all the names entered… so enter now at http://www.facebook.com/pages/%C3%96hlins-Racing-UK/112042525500205

Chris Witter, Business Development Manager, Öhlins Racing UK commented, “Öhlins and Ducati are two names long associated with technical innovation and race track success. Both companies believe in developing cutting-edge products on track and then using this technology to deliver quality products to their customers. With so many Ducati riders choosing Öhlins suspension for their bikes, we’re looking forward to meeting as many of these people as possible at the Ducati Days event and also the lucky competition winners at the Silverstone World Superbike round.”
