Constructed from acrylic-capped Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) for fantastic durability while keeping its weight down, R&G paid special attention to the design of the Hugger in order for it to mirror the sharp lines of the aggressively-styled street bike. The new Chain Guard is the first of such to be offered from R&G. Made from acrylic-capped ABS and finished with an embossed ‘FZ’ logo, the guard is much longer than the standard item it replaces and reaches from the front sprocket to the rear. By encapsulating the entire upper chain run, the R&G Chain Guard will massively reduce the amount of lube flung onto the underside of the machine. Only available in black, the Hugger costs £79.99 and the Chain Guard £59.99. Both items also fit the bigger capacity FZ1 Fazer and FZ1 and are supplied with all necessary fittings.

New from R&G, a hugger and chain guard for the Fazer/FZ8
R&G Racing
R&G Racing has added to its already diverse product offering for the Yamaha Fazer8 and FZ8 with a separate Hugger and Chain Guard. The new products demonstrate R&G’s continued expansion in offering complete protection for a bike – not just from crash damage. The Hugger, new from R&G in 2010, is 30% longer than the factory-fitted item and bolts directly in its place; the longer reach following the contour of the tyre closer to protect a greater area of the underside of the machine.
