Arai RX-7 GP setting new standards

The Arai RX-7 GP is the very first motorcycle helmet to exceed both the ECE 22-05 and new Snell M2010 performance requirements which sets a totally new standard in helmet safety making the Arai RX7 GP the helmet to beat in terms of both reassurance but also security!

The American Snell M2010 standard was written by the Snell Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development manufacture and use of superior protective headgear for use in motorcycling, competition auto racing and a host of similar applications.

ECE 22-05 represents the legal minimums demanded for motorcycle helmets in use in traffic throughout the European Union while Snell M2010, introduced on October 1, 2009, demands protective standards well beyond these legal minimums.

The RX-7 GP, Arai's range-topping helmet introduced in December 2008, easily surpasses ECE 22-05 and is the only helmet so far to achieve M2010 as well. By going well beyond these requirements, the RX-7 GP offers superior levels of head protection for motorcyclists.

Arai Europe's managing director, Ingmar Stroeven, commented: No one can predict the angle, severity, speed, or conditions of a crash. That's why, in our relentless efforts to upgrade and improve the protection of Arai helmets to the best of our ability, we build them to our standard, towards the ideal of what "could" happen instead of simply what's "likely" to happen. As a result of this effort a typical Arai helmet easily meets or exceeds international approval standards. But Arai is extremely proud that the new RX-7 GP helmet is one of very first helmets to meet and exceed both the very demanding ECE 22-05 and Snell M2010 requirements!

The RX-7 GP is the all-new, range-topping helmet from the revered Japanese firm which replaces the RX-7 Corsair. This is a completely new helmet, from the construction, lining, visor, fit and even the iconic top 'scoops' (diffusers). Available in sizes XS-XXL, prices begin at £524.99 for single colours to £589.99 for graphics and replicas.
