Valentino Rossi the 9 time MotoGP World Champion was recently rushed into hospital for emergency treatment due to abdominal pain, spending several hours in San Salvatore Hospital in Pesaro the rider known as The Doctor - as well as The GOAT (greatest of all time) has undergone a number of tests during his stay.

Straight after the accident happened at Mugello, Valentino began the recovery phase while Dainese started to develop special technical equipment which could help the Champion from Tavullia get back to his motorbike as soon as possible. Valentino collaborated actively with Dainese’s technicians and his indications were as always very precious. On July 7, during the very first test in Misano, the 'Doctor' tried on the new suit with the modified boots and he approved both of them from a protection and comfort point of view.

Misano Circuit: Seventy-three days after an operation to his right shoulder, Valentino Rossi returned to the track at Misano Adriatico aboard a Ducati 1198 Superbike. On November 14 at Cattolica’s Cervesi hospital, the Italian had undergone surgery on the supraspinatus tendon and the long head of biceps tendon, as well as cartilage in the Glenoid Labrum. The day was sunny but chilly, with a maximum air temperature of 10º Centigrade (50º Fahrenheit) and a maximum track temperature of 15º C (59º F).

The 1198 has been signed by Valentino and will be put up for sale at Silverstone Auctions on Saturday 11th June - if you want to own a fantastic piece of Rossi memorabilia and already have all his cups, leathers, lids and tshirts - treat yourself to a new bike - but we bet it won't be cheap!
