XENA have enhanced their high-performance XX14 disc lock alarm by fitting a lithium CR2 long-life ‘coin’ type battery as standard. Small lithium batteries are can easily support the brief, heavy current demands of devices such as alarms and maintain a higher voltage for a longer period than traditional alkaline cells.
Xena, the world's most innovative security devices for motorcycles, will be available to UK customers exclusively from Motohaus Powersports, the Hampshire based distributor of niche motorcycle accessories.
The new Disc Lock Cable Adaptor Kit from Xena is an ideal upgrade accessory for riders looking to extend the security level and reach of their Xena disc-lock alarm. Designed to turn most of Xena's disc lock alarms into a more complete security system, the kit connects the alarmed disc-lock to a 1.5 metre high-tensile steel cable with a unique stainless-steel adaptor. When attached snugly to the disc lock, the adaptor allows the rider to connect the cable to a fixed object.
Carole Nash, the UK’s favourite motorcycle insurance broker, is to introduce free security marking kits as a standard benefit not only on all new road and off-road policies, but also on renewals. The move comes after a successful trial of Carole Nash DNA+ at the end of last year, which saw thousands of satisfied customers apply the anti-theft measure to their cherished motorcycles. We think this is a great idea to help identify any stolen parts, and with so many of them rattling around the system we have to applaud Carole Nash for starting such an initiative.
