MotoGP Fans Celebrate the 4th of July with Debut of Special Edition Motorcycle Monterey, Calif. (July 3, 2009) – Ducati North America is proud to announce the newest addition to its model range, the 848 Nicky Hayden Special Edition. The special edition 848 will be unveiled tomorrow at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The launch of the 2011 Triumph Daytona 675R to the world’s media at the Portimao Circuit in Portugal highlighted the increased sporting potential of Triumph’s new premium version of its class-leading machine thanks to the addition of Öhlins suspension.The 675R is the first Triumph to be equipped with Öhlins suspension as original equipment, a move that gained praise from members of the world’s motorcycling press who exclusively rode the bike during the two-day launch.
Australian suspension specialists Ikon have developed a suspension upgrade for Kawasaki's new retro-styled W800. Weighing in at 214 kg fuelled up and with a large 19” front wheel, the 800cc roadster benefits from Ikon's progressive rate fork springs, which will cope better with a variety of loads and road surfaces that the relatively soft linear rate original items. Progressive rate springs have differing distances between the individual coil windings, operating in the wide coiled section under light loads but moving into its more tightly wound stiffer area to when coping with a high load capacity.

Öhlins Racing has completed final testing and is now ready to launch a complete range of suspension upgrade kits for the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600, further enhancing the sporting potential of this already extremely impressive supersport 600 machine.
