Dainese will be present at EICMA for the 69th International Motorcycle Show, with a world preview of some of its most innovative projects. Dainese will be attending with helmet company AGV under the banner of Italian Legendary Protection; a name that brings together two iconic brands and emphasises the excellence of ‘Made in Italy’. At EICMA last year Dainese unveiled the D-air Racing system to the Milan crowds. This year the road-going version of the air bag system D-air Street, will be showcased. D-air is a technological platform designed and built to protect riders on the racetrack and on the road.

The Italian Legendary Tour kicks off today: the Dainese and Agv on the road adventure is now in its third edition. The group of 50 riders leaves the Dainese Vicenza headquarters to ride for 3 days on winding roads and bends through spectacular Northern Italian landscape in the company of champions whose names are part of motorcycle racing history. Together with the lucky participants, Giacomo Agostini, Marco Lucchinelli, Carl Fogarty, and Marco Simoncelli will take their turns in the saddles of legendary motorcycles: Ducati, MV Agusta, Honda, Yamaha and Benelli on a tour branded with Italian identity in celebration of the nation’s 150th birthday.

Dainese is proud to launch the third Italian Legendary Tour (ILT) following two successful years of the project. Participants have experienced trips along the scenic Dolomite roads, through breathtaking Tuscan countryside and this year is no exception with the tour paying homage to the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, choosing Turin as its final destination. ILT 2011 will start on 7 September from Dainese’s Vicenza headquarters, following a visit of Dainese the group will ride through the Alps and will finish on 10 September in Italy’s first capital city, Turin.
