Airoh helmets get a new UK distributor in MotoGB

MotoGB is the new distributor for the Airoh range of motorcycle helmets in the UK. Airoh was formed in 1997 by Antonio Locatelli. As a youngster, Antonio raced motocross before manufacturing helmets for other companies and later deciding to launch his own brand – Airoh. His own experience of racing and manufacturing has led him on a quest to produce the lightest but most durable helmets for the street, track and off-road disciplines. Airoh is proud of the fact that each helmet is manufactured in Italy with components sourced only from Italy and Europe.
During 2010 Airoh scooped seven world championships with their sponsored riders, including the World MX1 series with Tony Cairoli. In the UK the best-known user of Airoh helmets has been two-time World Superbike champion James Toseland. JT has entrusted his safety with Airoh since 2009 when he entered his second season in MotoGP. Sadly, this season marked the end of his racing career due to an unfortunate wrist injury while competing in the World Superbike Championship.
Current riders who wear Airoh include MotoGP’s Andrea Dovizioso and Hector Barbera, Moto2 racers such as Andrea Iannone and Julian Simon, while in the 125GP class Airoh riders include British racers Danny Kent and Danny Webb. In the British paddocks Airoh-sponsored riders include Peter Hickman on the British Superbike grid and Tristan Palmer in the Superstock 1000 class. Steve Oliver of MotoGB says: “We are delighted to be the UK distributor for the Airoh range of motorcycle helmets.
We believe there is a strong market for the Airoh brand, a brand which focuses on technological excellence allied to a strong passion for racing. We will be very interested to speak to dealers wishing to stock this unique product.” Airoh UK has a 40-strong line-up of helmets, for all ages and all riding and racing disciplines, from scooter helmets to full-on competition lids for both on and off-road racing. Retail prices start from around £60 up to £500. The first batch of helmets destined for the UK, arrive at the end of the month ready to go into dealerships around the country.
For more information about Airoh and their current range of helmets go to: www.airoh.co.uk and www.airoh.com - with any luck we will get cracking on some reviews for them shortly.
