The Green Insurance Company has been announced as the official insurance partner of the 2010 UK TTXGP, the world's first all-electric motorcycle championship. To qualify for the new series, which begins at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire on 3rd - 4th July, all the entrants must boast zero toxic and noxious emissions from their machines.
Brands Hatch, Castle Combe and Snetterton complete the venue line-up. Sanctioned by the Auto Cycle Union (ACU), and supported by the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF), the TTXGP builds on the huge success of the world’s first zero carbon emissions race at last year’s Isle of Man TT. As part of its sponsorship, the Green Insurance Company will reward the fastest speed recorded by any of the competitors during each round. The UK TTXGP is one of three regional all-electric championships being held across the world this year. Teams in North America, the UK (Northern Europe) and Italy (Southern Europe) will compete for the chance to contest the Grand Final in Albecete, Spain at the end of October.

The fastest eight teams from each region qualify. Tony Way, Managing Director of The Green Bike Insurance Company said: “The UK TTXGP will open a unique chapter in the development and history of zero carbon technology amongst the biker community and we’re delighted to be associated.” Azhar Hussain, CEO and founder of the eGrandPrix, promoters of TTXGP said: “We are delighted to welcome The Green Insurance Company as sponsor of the TTXGP UK Championship 2010. “With three national championships, TTXGP is the finest and most accessible showcase of clean racing technology in the world.

The Green Insurance Company will only serve to add strength to our championship and we look forward to building a sustainable partnership that engages the sport and their support in new and exciting ways.” Dave Luscombe, Business Development Manager for the ACU, said: "We're very excited to see The Green Insurance Company on board as an official sponsor of the TTXGP and we welcome them to the series with great enthusiasm.

We look forward to enjoying many successful years of the championship with their support." With The Green Insurance Company, eco-friendly motorcycle insurance has never been easier. Not only will they find you the best deal they can from their panel of top UK insurers, but they’ll also offset 100% of your bike's emissions at no extra cost.
