The awards – held at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield – are now in their seventh year and were the most successful yet, with more than 500 motorcycle dealerships in the UK taking the time to vote on seven different categories, including ‘New Machine of the Year’, ‘Used Machine of the Year’ and ‘Best Trade Service’ of 2009. R&G Racing scooped the award for ‘Best Aftermarket Product’ for their extensive range of crash protection products.
Simon Hughes, R&G Racing’s Sales Director, said: “We are obviously very happy to win this award. For so many dealers to vote for our crash protection as ‘Best Aftermarket Product’ is reward for the last ten years of hard work we’ve put in to make our products the best in the business. We truly believe that the technology and thought that goes into our crash protection can help save a motorcyclist thousands of pounds in the event of a crash.
We’ve never rested on our laurels though, as we’ve shown with an extended range of products such as heated grips, bike covers and tail tidies and our new range of engine case covers which we launched late last year.” R&G Racing are the world’s number one manufacturer of crash protection and 2009 marked their 10th anniversary of producing high-quality crash protection and other after-market accessories for motorcycles. Every year the company invests in the industry in some way.
In 2009 they were headline sponsors of the R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R Trophy and in 2010 R&G Racing will be supporting the Ducati 848 Challenge, as well as sponsoring many individual riders and teams.
