“That new Z1000 is one bad boy and I’m just itching to get some miles under my wheels and start working on a routine that displays its awesome abilities to the full”, said the 41 year Midlander In addition to the Z1000, Jones will have an impressive stable of Kawasaki machinery to call on, whether he is performing at one of any number of shows and events in the UK and Europe, or for use in his punishing daily training regime. “I’ve got some big plans for the ER-6n.
I’m going to transform it into my main tricks bike and, like everything I do, this season’s show is going to bigger, better and have an even greater wow factor”. Of course if biggest is best, Jones can’t hide the fact that he’s built quite a reputation with large capacity V-Twins, so what better than an impressive VN1700 Classic to add some contrast? “I’m not going to say too much at this stage but, rest assured, jaws are going to be dropping when people see what tricks I’ll be doing on this beast”.
Away from the constant round of shows and events, Jones is also concentrating on his Bike Skills Academy which is based at the Silverstone race circuit, the new home to the UK round of MotoGP.. “My Academy courses are designed to show riders of all abilities how, with a little professional guidance, they can improve their machine skills and all round riding ability. I’ve got a long list of famous Superbike riders who will be passing on circuit riding techniques and we’ve also got support from the Northants and West Midlands police for the on road part of the course”.
With a KLX450 motocross bike forming another aspect of his fitness regime, Jones will have a machine from most areas of the Kawasaki range as Sales and Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Motors UK, Michael Johnstone, observes. “It will be a fantastic boost for Kawasaki customers to see Craig Jones riding bikes from across the amazing 2010 range. He’s always looking to deliver more and, as a motorcycle showman, there is simply no one better to display our bikes in such a dynamic way. We welcome him to Kawasaki and look forward to his amazing feats of skill during the year ahead.”
Renowned stunt rider and multiple world record holder, Craig Jones, has announced that he is to switch to Kawasaki machinery for his displays and motorcycle control skills academy for 2010. Jones has never had an official association with a Japanese manufacturer before and, with his trademark enthusiasm, is looking forward to the season ahead.
