Yes you read right folks - California Superbike School is offering students an opportunity to be among the first
to ride in their new schools in Abu Dhabi at the now famous Yas Marina circuit (as
used for the last round of the 2009 F1 Championship). To make it even more
interesting, students will be riding at night!
"This is a real buzz” enthuses school director Andy Ibbott. “I have coached at Qatar
during the GPs at night and it is really cool. To
run schools at night will be another first for
the California Superbike School, and will
extend our season in the Middle East when the
climate restricts us to running from November
to February because of the daytime heat. Now
we should be able to add at least 2 months to
either end of this season."
Yas Marina Circuit is 5.55km long (3 1⁄2 miles) and can be split in to smaller tracks;
initially the school will operate on the 1 1⁄2 mile long south circuit on each night.
California Superbike School will run on the Yas Marina South Circuit on Thursday 25th
and Friday 26th February.
