Drastically reducing customer waiting times, and negotiating traffic clogged roads, AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd have chosen a Kawasaki 1400GTR as their first two wheeled quick response vehicle. In only a few months service, the 1400GTR has already helped an array of stranded customers get mobile again or assisted with their problems at the roadside.
Resplendent in the company’s Rescue 24 livery, the top of the range sports tourer has more than enough power and storage space for all the essentials needed for attending to customers as Brian Barnard, Patrol Services Manager of AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd explains. “We needed a machine that could be both agile and comfortable in use for a whole working week. Added to that, we’ve found that the 1400GTR is more environmentally friendly than using a van for many jobs as it does not spend time stationary in traffic with the added benefit of much quicker response times”.

One further benefit that the company has recently discovered is the ability to help customers who have become stranded in car parks or areas with height restrictions – previously a problem for the vans being used for the task. With the prospect of the fleet increasing once the initial machine has been assessed, AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd are confident that their customers on two wheels or four will see positive benefits as Guy Schofield, Motor General Manager of AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd concludes. “Our motorcycle owning clients have already commented on how pleasing it is to see the Kawasaki mounted rider turning up to help them.

The flexibility it offers has undoubtedly benefitted many other stranded AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd clients too.” “However you look at it, whether the bike is used to help in a complex incident, or simply to ensure that a client gets back on the road as soon as possible, the Kawasaki 1400GTR has helped underpin our enviable reputation for fast response times and a high level of customer satisfaction.”
